It was in a particularly good and absolutely perfect location close to the ferry. And it was also adjacent to the harbour, the town centre, and shops, restaurants and seafront...

A flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a microwave and a fridge in the room and the exceptionally comfortable bed. Great and fab location, next to Nelson Square. Fairly nice area adjacent to the ferry terminal which was very much appreciated and shops and restaurants and ferry and restaurants.

Clean, well-presented with friendly staff. Everything in the unit worked and was good quality. Convenient location close to the ferry terminal. Felt safe with car parked outside. Easy to access from ferries and main highway. Quiet and cozy with efficient heating. Manager provided helpful dining suggestions. Separate room option was fantastic. Reliable WiFi.

Nothing I didn't like to be fair.

The location of the hotel was quiet and convenient - a 10-15 minute walk from Picton Ferry Terminal. It also was in pleasant area.

We had a great stay at Marlin Motel. The location was perfect, offering a peaceful and scenic environment. The cleanliness of the rooms was impressive, and the beds were very comfortable with electric blankets. The kitchen was well equipped, including a full oven and even salt and pepper shakers. The shower had good pressure, and we appreciated the option of a bath tub. The outdoor seating areas were a nice touch, and the spacious lounge and dining area were perfect for relaxing. The motel also provided extra pillows and blankets, which was a thoughtful gesture. I would highly recommend this motel for a comfortable and convenient stay.
Although it was a good stay, some small improvements could be made. The cutlery provided was sparse and of poor quality.

everything was well-maintained, the parking was on site, the room was good-sized. location: the hotel was not far from the ferry terminals, the shops and food outlets, and ferries. had tea and goodies at the seabreeze cafe & bar, nestled 1 mi of the venue. the room we had included a microwave, a fridge and coffee/tea makers.

I booked this family hotel for trip, had a very lovely stay, its location was magnificent in pleasant area. Loved the room in a very comfortable bed, my bed was comfortable. Coffee/tea making machines, a fridge and an oven were nice. Location: the venue was just next door to the ferry terminals as well as town centre. Lucky that it was around 10-15 minutes walk from Outer Reef, offering food to go.

Convenient location, within walking distance to attractions like the pirate playground and mini-putt golf. The gardens and outdoor areas were perfect for soaking up the sun, but please, no plants attacked me!
The water pressure in the shower was so low that I could probably blow on myself and get cleaner. Quite the spa-like experience, I must say.

The total stay was very relaxing during my 2-week South Island road trip. The room with full kitchen. The restaurant was not very far from the hotel.

We had a pleasant one-night stay at the motel. The location was convenient, just minutes away from the ferry. Despite the outdated decor, the room had good space and a comfortable bed. The highlight of our stay was the delicious and affordable dinner we had at Crows Tavern, just a short stroll across the park. The park itself provided a peaceful ambiance. Our arrival in the middle of the night was seamless, with easy access to our clean and comfortable unit. we highly recommend this motel for its convenient location, comfortable beds, and friendly atmosphere.

The park nearby is perfect for a stroll. The "Half roast dinner" at Crows Tavern is superb and affordable. The apartment is spacious and well-appointed with no complaints. The parking has undercover space, great for bikes. The hosts are warm and friendly.

Great stopover spot!
I recently stayed at a motel for one night, which was ideal for my needs. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was basic, but comfortable, and had all the amenities I needed, including basic cooking facilities, lots of tea bags and milk. The location was excellent - very close to where I needed to be. Plus, it was just a short walk to the shops, restaurants and seafront. I especially enjoyed the nearby restaurant with its tasty food and friendly service, which was within walking distance.
While the property was good overall, there were a few downsides. The curtains were quite thin and let in light, which made it difficult to sleep in.
